stevia and other exotics…

fire and metal elementals…

My stomach cries out for those things.ย  But it’s so fucking hot outside.ย  I don’t like the summers here.

Now, being in New York City, you would think that you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to cuisine.ย  And you’re absolutely right, hehe.ย  But sometimes you want a mixture of things that would take two separate trips to two field locations to consume.ย  And those two things couldn’t be further away.ย  And if they are close, then chances are that they’re in Manhattan and hella expensive.

So if you want something done right…

I was combing over my personal finances in 2016, and couldn’t help but notice that, due to the fact that I was on food stamps, that I was a bit more creative with my diet.ย  Yeah, my recipes were bland at the time, but I was saving money and arguably eating way healthier knowing exactly what goes into my food, MSG and all.ย  Mainlining honey and cayenne into my veins, I’d feel the reward of a self-induced ‘itis (food coma) almost every time.ย  Eating out, while convenient, means lesser portions for more cost.ย  But it used to be so much better, at least until I discovered new peppers and bitter herbs that I wondered, where have you been all my life?ย

Looking forward to a home-cooked meal, that which is my own.

  1. I need to get my diet back on track. I tend to go through phases of eating healthily and then not again. Always feel better when I’ve got green vegetables inside me, but sugar gives you the instant hit/reward.. Can be difficult staying on top of that.

    1. I had issues with wishing to consume sugary stuff void of nurtients, then i started cooking with cane sugar, molasses & honey and it helped a bit with maintaining energy throughout the day. chia, flax and hemp are superstars as well. ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. ๐Ÿ˜„ i also am mindful of the kind of oils used in the meals i eat.. corn and canola oil work differently on me than olive, (hemp?) and coconut like the 0W20 and 10W40 would on a Porsche. cheers and ๏ฝŒ๏ฝ๏ฝŽ๏ฝ‡ fortune ^ ^
