bleeding edge ephemera

They say the cards are golden on the other side.  But when you use up those precious 7 mana in this space and time for a chance to copy your competitor’s hand…

Capitalism, in which your fellow man is considered a ‘competitor’ of sorts.  ‘Cooperation’ left to nonprofits and governments.  It’s tricky, I know.  Not another socialist rant, I swear, I’ll spare you the pain.  Yet I can’t help but wonder, if I happened to have been born somewhere else, I would’ve been royally fucked and maybe not even know

Thoughts of different cities to move to, perhaps not realizing the diamond in the rough in which I exist today.  The diamond being, the knxwledge of life in this city for decades.  Perhaps here is where I must stand, and die.  That would be okay, I guess… but I would like to try living in different places for awhile.

But when you already have it all here, it seems… every other city (save a few) seems homogeneous in comparison, at least in the United States.  I dunno.  It’s the people I’m attracted to, really.

But the job opportunities… I’ve seen the statistics.  This place isn’t #1, or #70.  Perhaps I could live easier elsewhere.  I’m scared to leave my comfort zone.  So maybe I’ll try visiting for a week, then a month, and then maybe things will be different within the next 2-5 years.

I have to try..

Dear readers!  I’m open to suggestions for new places to live.  Where do you like?
