😭 ptsd (revisited . . . ?)

They took his son away from him.

didn’t matter that he once vowed to take a bullet for those very same people. or that the reason was the very same which allowed him to sleep peacefully and manage severe chronic pain with a smile. none of his history as a parent mattered. the child was in the back of the truck in 47.98 seconds.

he sobbed quietly into his arms.

    1. Oh, no, it’s not me or anyone I personally know. Though it very well could be; I read a story some weeks back about a family who was in danger of losing custody of their child for similar reason. It was really heartrending to read, so it inspired me to write this. Thank you for reading.
