    1. That’s what I’d like to know by the end of today πŸ™‚ Heard of the ‘Heavy Metal’ magazine and movie, yet never really looked into it until last night. Quite a lot of famous people on the soundtrack, and the animation looks stunning even today in my opinion! πŸ‘€

      1. Ghost in the shell innocence is a beautiful anime, do you know it?

I’m new to this kind of animation though. That film with the warrior was well done, properly thought out. I do admire these types of artists and they have to work quick! 🐒

      2. Haven’t seen Innocence, but have seen the entire first season of the regular series. amazing, like watching ‘The Matrix’ except moar militarized and closer to relate to. Started watching the second season, really interesting how they tackle the concepts of personalities within ideological groups (especially shared personalities)… made me think of fascism, social movements, modern-day terrorism and the stuff i see on the news today.

gonna bump that up on my bucket list, thanks! πŸ™‹

      3. I saw only the two films of Ghost in the Shell, and none of the series. I must admit I wasn’t that impressed with the first one but was blown away – and still think of it! – by the second one. Never seen anything so perfect. Yes, that’s the right word, perfect. I know what you mean…it gets you thinking about our world, how that’s really reflected…scary!

      4. scary is right, lol. that this all existed before the existence of the anime, was the inspiration for it: all i have is awe and reverence that they would share their vision so artfully!

      5. Strong character development all around. I watched it all in in a 7 hour marathon, just stayed inside and got lost into armageddon waged thousands of miles away 🎴

      6. Gosh, 7 hours, that is dedication! I know Fiance wants to see it too, so I better get it some time unless it’s on Netflix… Do you get Netflix? If so, can you recommend any anime? πŸ™‚

Hope to speak soon, I’ve got to get ready for an exciting x ray at the hospital! πŸ˜‰

      7. take care! it depends on the kind of genre you’re looking for.

        for example:
epic story & swordplay, lengthy as f = rurouni kenshin. my best friend from high school LURVED this one. Feels like one of those ancient Japanese tribal stories the natives would tell you.
If you’re young at heart (or know someone who is), Sword Art Online is about not being able to escape a virtual reality video game in which you die in real life if you die in the game. Traverses both realms of consensual & virtual reality quite well.

I don’t really know about the movies and TV shows all that much since I just play the video games, lol. I couldn’t watch the Dragon Ball Z series after playing the Namco Bandai produced ‘Budokai’2D fighter because I actually fought through the battles and triggered Super Saiyan states at will πŸ˜› Or like ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel 2’ @ https://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=772340

(I know, my taste in stuff is kinda unfiltered. But how could you live otherwise? ^_~)

Let me know what things you’ve liked in the past and I’ll try to recommend off that!

      8. Sword Art Online is something I’ve never heard of. Sounds like you have a fun time πŸ˜‰ Yes, I’m young at heart πŸ™‚ I’m in my early 40s but I’m living my life backwards πŸ˜€ Fiance told me that Resident Evil – which I love – was actually based on the game; I never realised that games preceded the films! With the same applying to Silent Hill. I like horror, fantasy, sci-fi films and books. George Romero, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Guillermo De Toro. The computer games I play are pretty mild as for some reason I don’t like the killing part myself, they’re usually games from Big Fish and indie game makers (which are sometimes better, like Jonathan Boakes). I started developing my own pc based game on my story InSommnia, but got sidetracked with writing more fiction.
Do keep in touch! I love ‘talking’ with you πŸ™‚ xo
